Round three time for today's "Grammy Sweeps", and now for the R&B records nominated for awards this year...

(Click below to see the rest of the post)

Best R&B Performance:

Estelle - "Thank You"

Robert Glasper featuring Ledisi - "Gonna Be Alright (F.T.B.)"

Luke James - "I Want You"

Miguel - "Adorn"

Usher - "Climax"

Were there no R&B records released this year? Somehow this category seems a bit light.

Who I think should win - Miguel's "Adorn".
Who probably will win - Usher.

Best R&B Song:

Miguel - "Adorn" (see above)

Tamia - "Beautiful Surprise"

Trey Songz - "Heart Attack"

Anthony Hamilton - "Pray For Me"

Elle Varner - "Refill"

A field 10 times stronger than the "performance" category. All strong contenders, though Miguel is by far the frontrunner here to "split" the awards with Usher.

Who I would like to win: Trey Songz
Who probably will win: Miguel

Best R&B Album:

Robert Glasper Experiment - Black Radio

Anthony Hamilton - Back To Love

R. Kelly - Write Me Back

Tamia - Beautiful Surprise

Tyrese - Open Invitation

I guess this is the "adult urban" category instead of R&B now. Though as such I can't quibble.

Who I think should win: Anthony Hamilton
Who probably will win: R. Kelly

Best Urban Contemporary Album:

Chris Brown - Fortune

Miguel - Kaleidoscope Dream

Frank Ocean - Channel Orange

Face it. There's only there here (and Brown's is more a dance album than an R&B one) because it's Ocean's.

Who I want to win: Ocean
Who will probably win: Ocean.

Best Traditional R&B Performance:

Anita Baker - "Lately"

Beyonce - "Love On Top"

Melanie Fiona - "Wrong Side Of A Love Song"

Gregory Porter - "Real Good Hands"

SWV - "If Only You Knew"

Normally, Anita would have this in the bag, but she cray cray, so hello, Beyonce.

Who I think should win: Beyonce
Who will probably will win: Beyonce.

Best Rap Album:

Drake - Take Care

Lupe Fiasco - Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album, Pt.1

Nas - Life Is Good

The Roots -Undun

Rick Ross - God Forgives, I Don't

2 Chainz - Based On A T.R.U. Story

A hodge-podge of popular acts, Drake's mainstream success will probably pull it out, though don't underestimate the Roots with their Fallon fan base amongst the voters.

Who I think should win: Drake (for making the big emo rap record)
Who probably will win: Drake.

Best Rap Performance:

Drake f/Lil Wayne - "Hell Yeah F***ing Right"

Kanye West & Jay-Z - "Ni**as In Paris"

Nas - "Daughters"

Kanye West f/Big Sean, Pusha T & 2 Chainz - "Mercy"

Young Jeezy f/Jay-Z & Andre 3000 - "I Do"

Kanye dominated the music scene this year critically and successfully.

Who I think should win: Drake's inclusive "HYFR"
Who will probably win: Kanye's materialistic "Mercy"

Best Rap Song:

Nas - "Daughters" (see above)

Wale f/Miguel - "Lotus Flower Bomb"

Kanye West f/Big Sean, Pusha T & 2 Chainz - "Mercy" (see above)

Drake - "The Motto"

Kanye West & Jay-Z - "Ni**as in Paris" (see above)

Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa f/Bruno Mars - "Young, Wild & Free"

Again, duplicate field here, probably will split the Kanye's records...

Who I think should win: Nas' grown up "Daughter"
Who will probably win: "Ni**as In Paris"

Best Rap/Sung Collaboration:

Flo Rida f/Sia - "Wild Ones"

Kanye West & Jay-Z f/Frank Ocean & The-Dream - "No Church In The Wild"

John Legend f/Ludacris - "Tonight (Best You Ever Had)"

Nas f/Amy Winehouse - "Cherry Wine"

Rihanna f/Jay-Z - "Talk That Talk"

All over the map here, with a weird category that doesn't really fit anymore.

Who I think should win: Kanye's best moment - "No Church"..
Who probably will win: Grammy darling John Legend.

Next time out I'll bring you the country nominees...
