Album Sweep: January 5, 2013...
It's time to check out the new albums making their way on to the Top 200 Albums chart in Billboard magazine...as is usual for the Christmas week there are few new records out, and only six new sets make the chart. Here they are, with links to buy anything you see...
Taylor Swift's Red racks up its sixth week at #1, selling over 275,000 copies....
The top entry at #2 is rapper/TV reality show whore T.I., who is in with his eighth studio album Trouble Man: Heavy In The Head. It's the first of a two-release set (the second due next year). The man born Clifford Harris Jr. has had three chart-topping albums so far...(NSFW)

The 12-12-12 Concert For Sandy Relief: To Benefit The Robin Hood Relief Fund telecast raised over 36 million dollars before it showed, but the album has somewhat underperformed, coming in at #9 on the chart selling under 100K. It's worth picking up if you haven't yet, with classic performances by Eric Clapton, Roger Waters, The Rolling Stones, and more...
Neo-punks Blink-182 are back at #23 with their EP Dogs Eating Dogs, the first after leaving their label and going on their own (which is easier in the digital age). It's available right now just on their website...
Rapper Chief Keef is in at #29 with his debut disc Finally Rich...(NSFW)
I'm psyched to see Les Miserables at the movies today, and the soundtrack highlights album arrives at #33...I'm sure it would soar next chart after the film opens...
The final entry down at #125 is the digital-only set from the winner of The Voice: The Complete Season 3 Collection by Cassadee Pope...It's only available so far at iTunes...
That does it for this week...out of these I would recommend picking up the 12-12-12 concert, Les Miz, and the Blink-182 sets right now with your gift cards....
I'll be back tonight with the latest in Britain....Cheers!
