Country Sweep: December 15, 2012...

I'm up to part four of this week's "chart sweeps" of the latest songs making their way on to the weekly music charts in Billboard magazine, and now it's the newest on country radio...

On the Country Airplay chart, Florida Georgia Line see their first charting single make it to #1 as "Cruise" drives in to the top spot (and almost dethrones Taylor Swift on the abortion that is the "Country Songs" chart)...

The top entry this week is by Lee Brice, who follows up two #1 hits ("A Woman Like You" and "Hard To Love") with the sentimental "I Drive Your Truck" at #53...

Crossover country trio Lady Antebellum sleigh in at #54 with their rendition of "A Holly Jolly Christmas"...

Kix Brooks at #57 with his third single after going on hiatus from Brooks & Dunn, "Moonshine Road". He hasn't done as well as his partner, with "New To This Town" only reaching #31 (not for lack of merit)...of course it doesn't help that there isn't a clip yet...

Showing that country radio is more in tune with musical taste that Billboard's editors choices, folk rockers Mumford & Sons get enough play on country stations to place at #58 with "I Will Wait"...

The final entry at #60 is newcomer Sarah Darling, who debuts with "Home To Me"...

That's a wrap for the country end of the spectrum. I'll return at 6:30pm EST with the final sweep of the latest dance jams in the clubs and on the radio. Twang on!
