Soul Sweep: December 15, 2012...

Welcome back to the third installment of today's "chart sweeps" of the latest song making their way on to the weekly music charts at Billboard magazine. This time out it's the newest on R&B radio.

On the R&B/hiphop Airplay chart, Miguel's Grammy-nominated "Adorn" commands a thirteenth week on top...

There is only one new song on this week main R&B airplay chart (now truncated to 50 spots, grrrr), and it's by singer Eric Benet, who topped the list back in 1999 with "Spend My Life With You". His latest at #48, "News For You", is the third single from his latest album The One, and it's deliciously smooth and soulful, and it's already #20 on the Adult R&B list...

Over on the Adult R&B (Urban AC) radio format chart, Miguel also is at #1 for a fifth week with "Adorn"..

Two of the three new entries are holiday tracks, and up at #31 is Kem with "A Christmas Song For You". Kem topped this chart in 2010 with "Why Would You Stay?"...

Singer Tamia returns at #32 with "Give Me You", the second single from her Beautiful Surprise CD. She's had three top-10 hits on this format, with the title song of that album going to #4 in September...

The last entry this week is singer/rapper/The Voice coach Cee-Lo Green with "This Christmas", from his holiday album at #39. He topped the list at the end of last year with "Fool For You"...

That does is for the soul side of the house...I'll be back in 90 with the latest on country radio...Groove On!
