"Angel Of Harlem" became the second top-40 pop hit from the album in the States in February of 1989. The song was huge on rock radio here, staying at #1 on the Mainstream Rock chart for six weeks, and four weeks at #3 on the Modern Rock list. The track also crossed over to the Adult Contemporary (or 'easy listening') chart at #38. Internationally, the song topped the pop chart in Canada and New Zealand, and made the top 10 in the UK (#9), the Netherlands (#8), and their native Ireland (#3).
