Songoftheday 10/7/12 - All i know is the way that i feel Whenever you're around You've got a way of lifting me up Instead of bringing me down...
Fleetwood Mac - "Love In Store"
from the album Mirage (1982)
Billboard Hot 100 peak: #22 (three weeks)
Weeks in the top-40: 8
Today's Song of the Day is by the rock group Fleetwood Mac, who came back in 1982 with their #1 album Mirage, which already gave them two big hits with "Hold Me" and "Gypsy". For the third single in America they released another Christine McVie song, "Love In Store", a really sunny-sounding song despite the bitter troubles she was going through with her husband, bass-player John.
The single spent two months in the US top-40, and also reached #11 on the adult-contemporary (soft-rock) chart. It would be the last pop hit for the band for five years, in which three of the members, Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, and Christine McVie would all score top-40 hits.
