Today's Song of the Day is by raspy songstress Kim Carnes, with the followup track to her 1982 top-40 hit "Voyeur". The ballad "Does It Make You Remember" is an awesome emotional ballad that Kim gives her all to, though it probably didn't get the play it could have because her persona by that point was so entrenched in the spacey detached mood exuded by the likes of "Bette Davis Eyes", which was produced by the same guy who helmed this, Val Garay. Kim wrote this track with husband Dave Ellingson...

The song spent a month in the pop-top 40, but that's about it. I'm kind of shocked this didn't do better on adult-contemporary radio, and I still think this is one of her best songs, and I'm psyched her Voyeur album is seeing a rerelease at the end of this month..
