twostepcub's music chart for June 29, 2012...

Hey folks, it's that time again - my top-100 tunes for the week. This time Carly Rae Jepsen spends a third week by the phone and on top, while rap/rockers Linkin Park (pictured above) move up in the top-10. Songs by Keith Urban, Eva Simons, and Imagine Dragons make the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red), while a former big hit from Jason Aldean drops out. Link-O-Rama is still in effect, so you can click on any of the highlighted artist names to go to their official website for more info, music, videos, tourdates, and more. Where's the beach!

The highest debut this week belongs to American Idol runner-up Katherine McPhee. McPhee may have lost to Taylor (Who?) Hicks in the fifth season, but she's done respectably since,  having two US top-40 records with "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" and "Over It" (that's one more than Hicks, if you're counting), but now she's the star of the NBC Broadway-themed show Smash, and a song from that show has been remixed and is now a top-5 club hit. It's "Touch Me"...

Usher's slow-jam R&B hit "Climax" is still climbing my list at #22, but the dance-styled "Scream" already has made the pop top-10 in the US, and arrives on my list this week, and the clip features the Off-Broadway show Fuerza Bruta which I passed last weekend...

British alt-dance collective Jamiroquai are best known in the US for their top-40 airplay hit "Virtual Insanity", but in their homeland they have accrued twenty-six top-40 singles, including nine top-10 titles. Their last British top-40 is now a top-10 US club hit, "White Knuckle Ride"...

Kelly Clarkson follows up her #1 hit "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)", which is still on my list, with "Dark Side"...

Husband-and-wife duo Thompson Square debut with their third top-20 country hit (including their #1 "Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not"), called "Glass"...

...and finally, Blake Shelton has parlayed his Voice mentorship into a much bigger exposure level for himself, and following six #1 country hits (including the top-20 all-genre "Honey Bee") is another ballad already in the top-20 he's surely hoping for an even seven with, "Over"...

Also, Jill Scott's recent #1 Adult R&B hit "Blessed", sneaks back on at #100...

That's it. Have a great weekend! My weekly chart sweep's of Billboard's official charts starts tomorrow afternoon!
