Disco Dessert 9/9/19 - "True Love Is My Destiny" by James Wells...

"True Love Is My Destiny" was part of a double-sided club hit for singer James Wells. Appearing on his album My Claim To Fame, the song was written by producer Ian Levine and musician Fiachra Trench. Originally the "A-side" of the 12" single, the chart listing placed title track "My Claim To Fame" first, and both together climbed to #4 on Billboard's National Disco Action Top-40 in 1978. Sadly, Wells was yet another victim of the AIDS crisis, passing away from complications of the disease in the early 1990s.
