Disco Dessert 9/10/19 - "Dirty Ol' Man" from The Three Degrees...

"Dirty Ol' Man" was a seminal pre-disco hit for the female vocal group the Three Degrees. Appearing as a lead track on their self-titled 1973 album on Philadelphia International Records, the song was written and produced by the label's heads Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff. It came way too early to appear on any dance/disco chart in Billboard magazine, but did get to a criminally low #58 on their R&B chart, not even appearing on the pop Hot 100, though the track topped the charts in the Netherlands and Belgium and hit #34 in Germany.
