Disco Dessert 9/2/19 - "Never Give You Up" from Sharon Redd...

"Never Give You Up" was a big club hit for singer Sharon Redd. Appearing on her album Redd Hott, the song was written by producers Darryl Payne and Eric Matthews. The album charted as a single unit on Billboard magazine's Dance/Disco Top 80 chart, where it spend a week at #1 and lasted 28 weeks on the chart. Sadly, Redd was a casualty of the AIDS crisis, passing away from the disease in 1992 at the age of 46.
