Disco Dessert 9/25/19 - "Spank" from Jimmy "Bo" Horne...

"Spank" was a club hit for singer Jimmy "Bo" Horne. Appearing on his second album Goin' Home For Love, the song was written by Horne with Ronald Smith, the trumpet player for label mates KC & The Sunshine Band. On Billboard's National Disco Action chart, the song climbed to #48, while also making it to #55 on their R&B list. It's considered one of the first records to predate the "house music" scene that would come to fruition in the mid-1980s.
