Disco Dessert 9/13/19 - "Sure Shot" from Tracy Weber...

"Sure Shot" was a club hit for Queens-born singer Tracy Weber. Written by producer Richard Bassoff and Nick Braddy, the single was released as a one-off, since tragically (and morosely ironically) Weber was murdered by a gunman in 1981 before she got to see the success of the song. "Sure Shot" climbed to #3 on Billboard magazine's Disco Top 80 chart in 1982. The record later would be sampled for the single "Let Me Know" from British singer Roisin Murphy in 2007.
