Disco Dessert 9/16/19 - "Hello Again" from the Cars...
"Hello Again" was the biggest club hit for the new wave band the Cars, led by singer/songwriter/producer Ric Ocasek, who just passed away at the age of 75 on Sunday. Appearing on their classic album Heartbeat City as the opening track, the song was written by Ocasek, while the band produced it with Robert "Mutt" Lange (which explains the bright, loud, and busy production). On Billboard magazine's Hot Dance/Disco chart, "Hello Again" rose to #8, the band's sole top ten entry on any dance chart, thanks to remixes done by Arthur Baker with help from the Latin Rascals and Andy Wallace. The song also peaked at #20 on the pop chart and the rock radio chart...
