twostepcub's music chart for April 23, 2021...

Friday's here, and it's time to run down my top 100 "hit" tunes from the previous week. Foo Fighter hang tight at #1 for a second week, while Ava Max (pictured above) climbs two spot in the top ten. Former big hits from Ariana Grande, H.E.R., and Sigala/James Arthur drop off my list, while songs from Imagine Dragons, Joel Corry/Raye/David Guetta, and Dua Lipa make the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red). And below everything is Spotify playlisted for five and a half hours of listening goodness. Staycation 2021 here we go...

Lil Nas X returns in a big way, rocketing in at #50 with his new single "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)", which actually references his own first name. By now, most people are peripherally aware of the music video, but the song is still at the top of the charts worldwide...

German trance music veteran Andre Tanneberger, aka ATB, returns to my chart 23 years after he was here with this breakthrough single "Your Love (9PM)" courtesy of a remake featuring DJ Topic and singer A7S of "Breaking Me" fame...

British R&B singer Raye hooks up with drum and bass band Rudimental at #92 for "Regardless". It's from her stellar Euphoric Sad Songs album, and it's the second song on my list (after Ava Max's "My Head and My Heart") to sample iiO's dance classic "Rapture"...

Switching gears at #93 is South African post-grunge rockers Seether with their song "Bruised & Bloodied". It's the second song from the band's Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum album to make my list after "Dangerous"...

Hawaiian-born DJ/producer Mahalo claims the final new entry of the week at #95 with his dance radio hit "Not Watching Anymore"...
