"My Latin Lover" was a club hit for the studio act Q-Pid put together by producer Mitchell Bichet and keyboardist Patrick Adams, and featuring vocals from Nikki Q. Released as a stand-alone single, it was written and produced by Bichet, and mixed by Bruce Forrest. On Billboard magazine's Hot Dance/Disco Play chart, the single peaked at #35 in 1986.
