"More Bounce To The Ounce" was a club and urban radio hit for the Ohio funk band Zapp. Appearing on their debut album Zapp, the song was written by leader Roger Troutman, who co-produced it with Bootsy Collins. On Billboard magazine's Disco Top-100 chart, the album was listed as a single entry, with this song listed as the sole key cut. The track peaked at #19 in 1980, and also climbed to #2 on their R&B chart, and slipped in at #86 on the pop Hot 100 in America.
