"Instinctual" was a big club hit for the British R&B/dance act Imagination. Appearing on their album Closer, the song was produced by Arthur Baker, who co-wrote it with Paul Gurvitz. On Billboard magazine's Dance Club Play chart, the single spent a week at #1 in 1988.
