Kraut Sweep: November 20, 2012...


I'm back with this week's look at the newest songs making their way on to the official sales charts in Germany. This week Rihanna's "Diamonds" stays at #1 for a third week.

The top debut is by New Yorkers fun., who follow up their #4 hit "We Are Young" with the totally awesome "Some Nights" at #25...

Atlanta-based rapper Ludacris scores his first top-40 hit in Germany as a lead artist as the dance-based "Rest Of Your Life" featuring Usher and David Guetta arrives at #32..(he has done the job nine times in a featured credit, though...)...



 Rock band Lukas Graham, from the northern neighbor country of Denmark, comes in at #36 with their first German hit, "Drunk In The Morning", which was a chart-topping hit in their homeland...


Singer/rapper Cro has had a good year, placing eight songs from his debut album Raop into the top-100 in Germany, including two that went to #2, "Easy" and "Du". He's back at #43 with "Starting Over"...


Scottish singer Emeli Sande gets her first hit here as "Heaven" enters at #63. She took the song to #2 in the UK last year,.


One rung below that is American R&B singer Ne-Yo, with "Forever Now". His song "Closer" went to #4 here in 2008...


German techno outfit Scooter are back at #77 with "Army Of Hardcore". They have one #1 hit to their name - "Nessaja" from 2002...



Another dance act, Chima arrives at 79 with "Ausflug ins Blaue" ("Trip To The Blue")....


Austrian DJ/producers Darius & Finlay and American singer Nicco come in at #84 with "Get Up"...


Asian-American rap/dance act Far East Movement are at #91 with "Change Your Life" featuring Miami rapper Flo Rida and Dutch DJ Sidney Samson. The group's biggest hit in Germany so far is "Live My Life", which was their only top-10 hit here...


The final entry belongs to German artist Johannes Oerding, who debuts at #98 with "Einfach nur weg" ("Just To Get Away")...
