Twostepcub's music chart for November 4, 2022...

Friday's here, and it's time to run down my top 100 "hit" tunes from the previous week. Steve Lacy holds at #1 for a second week, while Lizzo (pictured above) races into the top five. Former big hits from Carrie Underwood, Meghan Trainor, Scotty McCreery, Maggie Rogers, and Vance Joy drop off my chart, while songs from Jimmie Allen, ILLENIUM, and Beyonce make the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red). And under the list everything is Spotify playlisted for 5 1/2 hours of the biggest in pop, rock, R&B, country, and dance music. Coming back is such sweet sorrow...

Along with a re-entry from Noah Kahan, there are ten songs making their debut on my chart this week (highlighted in blue), and if you click on any of them, you'll connect to that artist's official website for tour dates, bios, music, pictures, and more. And here they are on video, after the break...

The top debut of the week is claimed by French modern rock band Phoenix, who fly in at #68 with "Tonight", the second song to hit my chart from their Alpha Zulu album. The single featured Ezra Keonig from the group Vampire Weekend...

Right below them at #69 is another alternative rock collab, this time with the National and Bon Iver, with "Weird Goodbyes". Aaron Dressner and Justin Vernon both had worked on Taylor Swift's neo-bluegrass albums...

Pop-punk veterans Blink-182 reunite in their original form for the song at #74, "Edging"...

Country singer and pogonophile's dream Jordan Davis returns at #81 with his latest "What My World Spins Around"...

Alternative rock band Paramore are back at #84 with the title track from the act's sixth album, "This Is Why"...

DJ/producers Mark Kinchen (MK) and Matt Burns (Burns) bring on singer Jaten Dimsdale (Teddy Swims) at #91 for the dance radio hit "Better". Teddy Swims is featured on this week's biggest mover, "All That Really Matters" with ILLENIUM...

John Legend, who is in my top-40 at #34 with his collaboration with Saweetie with "All She Wanna Do", arrives at #95 with another cut from his Legend album, "Honey" featuring Muni Long...

British pop singer Olly Murs drops in at #97 with "Die Of A Broken Heart". The song is from the former X Factor UK finalist's upcoming album Marry Me...

Music mogul Sean Combs, who records under the moniker Diddy these days, re-emerges after over a decade with "Gotta Move On" with singer Bryson Tiller...

The final newbie on my list this week is from Oliver Tree, who redoes his song "Jerk" with tropical house producer Robin Schulz with make "Miss You". It's not without controversy, as British DJ Southstar had already put out the track in the UK, and Schulz basically copies most of the production, but for now it's the bigger hit, most likely since Oliver is directly involved...
