Disco Dessert 11/9/22 - "Phoenix Of My Heart" by Xymox...

 

 

"Phoenix Of My Heart" was a club hit for the Dutch electro-rock act Xymox. Appearing on their fourth album Phoenix, the song was written by the group's lead singer/songwriter Ronnie Moorings using an interpolation of the rock classic "Wild Thing" written by Chip Taylor, and produced by Peter Walsh. On Billboard magazine's Dance Club Play chart, the single (remixed by Moorings) peaked at #16 in 1991, while reaching the same position on the Alternative Rock radio chart.
