"Get Up" was a club hit for singer Amel Larrieux, who was formerly in the group Groove Theory. Appearing on her debut solo album Infinite Possibilities, the song was written and produced by Amel and her husband Laru. On Billboard magazine's Dance Club Play chart, the single peaked at #41 in 2000, while popping on to their Hot 100 pop chart at #97 and the R&B Singles list at #37.
