Disco Dessert 11/13/22 - "The Wreckoning" by Boomkat...

 

 

"The Wreckoning" was a big hit for the duo Boomkat, comprised of brother/sister Kellin and Taryn Manning (the latter a popular actress). Appearing on their debut album Boomkatalog.One, the song was written by the Mannings, who co-produced it with Martin Pradler. The remix for the 12" single was done by the Thunderpuss team (Barry Harris and Chris Cox). On Billboard magazine's Dance Club Play chart, the single spent a week at #1 in 2003, while reaching #88 on the pop Hot 100 in the U.S. and #37 on the British singles chart.
