"Ghetto Heaven" was a club hit for the group the Family Stand. Appearing on their album Chain, the song was written by the act's Sandra St. Victor, V. Jeffrey Smith, and Peter Lord, with the latter producing, and remixed by Jazzie B and Nellee Hooper from Soul II Soul. On Billboard magazine's Dance Club Play chart, the single peaked at #27 in 1990. It also spent two weeks at #2 on their R&B chart. The band would go on to play on Paula Abdul's Spellbound album.
