Disco Dessert 8/14/21 - "Fun" by Da Mob with Jocelyn Brown...

"Fun" was a big club hit for Da Mob, a collaboration of DJ's Erick Morillo, Jose Nunez, and Carlos Sosa. Released as a stand-alone single, the song was written by the trio with Karen "Dajae" Gordon, who originally was supposed to sing on the finished track but couldn't due to label obligations, replaced by club icon Jocelyn Brown (with Lisa Fischer and Cindy Mazelle singing backup). On Billboard magazine's Dance Club Play chart, the single spent a week at #1 in 1998, while climbing to #33 on the British singles chart.
