French Sweep: October 1, 2013...

Hey gang, it's time to journey across the Atlantic yet again to check out the songs making their way on to the official sales chart in France this week, as Belgian singer/songwriter Stromae hangs on for a third week at #1 with "Formidable"...

I hate giving her more ink, but you queens around the world are buyin' it, so the top entry of the week is Britney Spears with her new "single", "Work Bitch", at #6. She now has a baker's dozen of top-10 hits, with three of them ("Baby Come To Me", "Womanizer", and "Scream & Shout" with will.i.am, who produced this shit) going to #1...

Katy Perry follows up her "Roar" single which just peaked at #6 with "Dark Horse" featuring rapper Juicy J at #44...

French rap artist Kaaris arrives at #46 with "Des Le Depart" ("From The Start"). It's now his biggest hit, passing "Paradis ou Enfer" which came in at #51 a couple of weeks ago...

Swedish DJ/producer Avicii's True album debuts in the top-10 here this week, and three of its tracks make their debut on the singles list. First at #53 is "Addicted To You"...

Next up at #58 is Avicii's "You Make Me", the current worldwide single..

American singer Jason Derulo takes his "Talk Dirty", which is currently topping the charts in Britain, across the Channel to this country at #71. It features 2 Chainz on the rap solo. It follows Derulo's "The Other Side", which topped out at #45...

French singer and dancer Maude (Harcheb), who appeared on the TV show Les Anges de la téléréalité earlier this year, also reached #3 with "Love Is What You Make Of It". She's back at #80 with "Love Not Money", my "French Pick of the Week"...

The third of the Avicii tracks to come in is his collab with bluegrass ace Dan Tyminski on "Hey Brother" at #94..

The last debut belongs to German DJ Manian with Italian dance duo Floorfilla on "Just Another Night (Anthem 4)". ..
