"Love Pains" was a club and radio hit for actress/singer Yvonne Elliman. Appearing on her album Yvonne, the song was produced by Steve Barri, who wrote it with Michael Price and Dan Walsh. On Billboard magazine's Disco Top-100 chart, the single peaked at #75 in 1980, while reaching the pop top-40 at #34. Later on, the song would become club hit remakes for Viola Wills, Hazell Dean, and Liza Minelli.
