"Swearin' To God" was a big radio and club hit for singer and leader of the Four Seasons, Frankie Valli. Appearing on his album Closeup, the song was written by Bob Crewe and Denny Randell and produced by Charles Calello, and features Patti Austin ("Baby Come To Me") singing backup. On Record World magazine's  Disco File Top-20 chart, the single peaked at #4 in 1975, while reaching #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 pop chart.
