Disco Dessert 8/23/20 - "Pleasure Island" from Paul Jabara...

"Pleasure Island" was a DJ favorite from singer/songwriter/producer/actor Paul Jabara. Appearing on his album Keeping Time, the song was written by Paul and produced by Bob Esty. On Billboard magazine's National Disco Action Top-40 chart, the Keeping Time set was listed as a single entry, with "all cuts" marked as DJ hits. The record peaked there at #12 in 1978. Jabara, who wrote such classics as "Last Dance", "It's Raining Men", and "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)", died of AIDS at the age of 44 in 1992.
