twostepcub's music chart for July 26, 2019...

Friday's here, and it's time to run down my top 100 "hit" tunes from the previous week. The top debut of the week belongs to British R&B/dance music singer Heather Small, who in the 1990s had been the lead voice of the group M People. She returns with a revamp of her 2000 single "Proud" that has been re-released for the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, and mixed by Dirty Disco and Matt Consola. The orignal made the British top-40 at #16...

British DJ/producer Mark Ronson rolls in at #80 with the second single and title track from his recent album Late Night Feelings. The song features Swedish indie-pop singer Lykke Li...

Country rocker Brantley Gilbert pairs up with newcomer Lindsey Ell at #87 on "What Happens In A Small Town". It precedes his upcoming fifth studio album Fire & Brimstone...

DJ/remixer Marc Stout brings former Pussycat Doll Jessica Sutta along for the ride at #91 with "Our Song Comes On"...

While Beyoncé's starring turn in the new version of The Lion King made bank this week, her song from her live Coachella run, "Before I Let Go", arrives at #93...

Metalcore band I Prevail enters at #94 with their new one, "Breaking Down". It's the lead single from their second full-length studio album, Trauma, and its music video is a powerful look at how depression cripples people...

The third track from Ed Sheeran's No.6 Collaborations album reaches my list as "Beautiful People", featuring Khalid, flies in at #95...

Indie-folk band the Avett Brothers are back at #98 with "High Steppin'", the first single from their upcoming Closer Than Together album...

The final newbie of the week comes from British pop singer Mabel, whose second entry on my chart "Mad Love" pops in at #100. Her mother is 80s hitmaker Neneh Cherry and dad is Cameron McVey of Massive Attack...
