twostepcub's music chart for July 12, 2019...

Friday's here, and it's time to run down my top 100 "hit" tunes from the previous week. Lewis Capaldi reigns for a third week, while newcomer Billie Eilish (pictured above) rolls up three spots in the top ten. Songs from David Guetta/RAYE, Maren Morris, and Halsey make the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red), while former big hits from Halsey, Cage The Elephant, Billie Eilish, Lauv/Troye Sivan, Cody Johnson, and Meduza drop off my list. Taylor Swift rockets onto my list all the way up at #13 with the second single from her upcoming Lover album. The first, "ME!" with Brandon Urie, falls to #27 after peaking up at #9 a few weeks ago...

British neo-disco act the Shapeshifters are back with a new song on my chart for the first time in over a decade as "Life Is A Dancefloor" featuring Kimberly Davis (the current lead singer in Chic) shimmies in at #73. Back in 2004 (before my bloggie even) they reaches my top ten with "Lola's Theme"...

Modern Rock band Fitz & The Tantrums shake in at #75 with their latest, "1-2-3-4-5-6". It precedes their upcoming album All The Feels...

Pop/rock hitmakers OneRepublic return at #85 with their new single "Rescue Me". The music video features Cody Bingham from Dancing With The Stars: Juniors...

Also coming back at #86 is Lana Del Rey with her newest, "Doin' Time". It's a remake of a song from the reggae-rock band Sublime and was made for a documentary about the band...

Current "it girl" Lizzo follows up her breakthrough hit "Juice" with the song that makes the top ten on the American pop chart this week, "Truth Hurts"...

The second single from country crossover duo Florida Georgia Line's Can't Say I Ain't Country album, "Talk You Out Of It", pulls in at #96...

Like the last few weeks, it's been a really slow week music-wise, and some songs that normally wouldn't appear rise up, including Madonna's f*ckfest with Maluma, "Medellin", which slips in at #98 as it tops the dance chart...

Also popping in at #100 as the last debut is Jennifer Lopez with her latest club single "Medicine" featuring rapper French Montana...

I'll be a little late with next week's chart, but I'll be back. Enjoy your week!
