Disco Dessert 7/30/19 - "Le Spank" from Le Pamplemousse...

"Le Spank" was a club hit for the studio group Le Pamplemousse (French for "The Grapefruit"). Put together by the production team of Laurin Rinder and W Michael Lewis, who also recorded under Rinder and Lewis, the band included the mostly instrumental as the title track of their second album. On Billboard magazine's National Disco Action Top-40, "Le Spank" peaked at #5 in 1977, while it also rose to #13 on their R&B chart, and #58 on the pop Hot 100 list.
