"A-Freak-A" was a club hit for the disco act Lemon, a studio group put together by DJ and producer Kenny Lehman. The song appeared on their self-titled debut (and only) album, which featured singers like Luther Vandross and David Lasley. The Lemon album charted as one entry on Billboard's National Disco Action Top-40, where the tracks "Chance To Dance", "A-Freak-A", and "Hot Bodies" were listed as standout dancefloor hits. It rose to #17 on that list in 1979.
