"Whistle Bump" was a club hit for Brazilian producer and musician Eumir Deodato. Appearing on his album Love Island, the track was written and produced by the man who had helmed the hits for Kool & The Gang during their disco heyday of 1979-1982. The song climbed to #8 on Billboard magazine's National Disco Action Top-40 chart in 1978. The instrumental also peaked at #81 on their R&B chart as well.
