Today's Song of the Day is brought to you by rock star Pat Benatar, who had claimed her fourth top-10 pop hit in 1985 with a song from the movie The Legend Of Billie Jean, "Invincible". That single would be included in her next album, Seven The Hard Way, released at the end of the year. The follow-up, "Sex As A Weapon", continued her return to more rock-tinged flair. It was written by the team of Tom Kelly and Billy Steinberg, the guys who gave us Madonna's "Like A Virgin" as well as Pat's on "Fire And Ice" hit...

"Sex As A Weapon" made it to the top-40 on the American pop chart in January of 1986, while climbing all the way to #5 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock radio chart. Internationally, the single was a top-40 hit in Canada, Australia and New Zealand, as it was a minor hit in France and England.

And hey, the video got some man buttocks on the MTVs. So there's that.
