I'm ready to cross the Atlantic yet again to check out the songs making the official singles chart in France this week...

Leaping in all the way at #1 is the first chart-topping hit for rapper Booba (real name Eli Yaffa), with "OKLM". He's had four previous singles that made the top-10...

American singer Lana Del Rey scores her eighth top-40 hit in France with "Shades Of Cool", the second track from her upcoming Ultraviolence album. The first, "West Coast", went to #34 back in April...


French singer Imany, from the southern town of Martigues, arrives at #79 with "The Good The Bad & The Crazy". Back in 2011 she had a top-40 hit here with "You Will Never Know"...


The French show Les Anges De La Telerealite (Angels of Reality Shows) has sent quite a few records to the singles charts, as it challenge their non A-list stars to compete in tasks such as recording a single. The latest comes from Shanna Kress, who comes on the show already an alumnus of another contest, Les Marsellais, and her "24/7" is in at #81...


British singer Ellie Goulding's song from the movie Divergent, "Beating Heart", pumps onto this country's chart at #84. Her last single here, "Burn", was her first top-10 effort at #9 last year..


Norwegian duo Nico & Vinz take their worldwide hit "Am I Wrong" to these shores at #87...


The last debut of the week at #98 is Lee Mashup with "Hum Connection" featuring Congolese act Stone Warley & CO...
