Dance Sweep: June 14, 2014...

I'm ready to wrap up the last of today's "chart sweeps" with the latest dance jams in the clubs and on the radio charts in Billboard magazine.

On the DJ-polled Dance Club Play chart, Idina Menzel scores her first #1 dance hit with "Let It Go" from the movie Frozen....

The highest debut of the week belongs to the collaboration between Norwegian electronica duo Royksopp and Swedish singer Robyn, as "Do It Again", my "Dance Pick of the Week", is in at #44. Royksopp previously have been as high as #5 on this chart with "Poor Leno" from 2001, while Robyn went all the way to #1 in 2011 with "Call Your Girlfriend". They're on tour together this year, and I'm psyched to be going to the New York show in August...

Another collab, this time the late Michael Jackson with Justin Timberlake, enters the chart at #45 with "Love Never Felt So Good". The "King Of Pop" has topped this chart eight times before, from 1983 when Thriller did it (at that time whole albums could chart) until "Hollywood Tonight" in 2011...

Dance/pop singer/songwriter London Rose, from the totally American state of Indiana, debuts at #46 with her first hit "Kick Drum"...

Dutch trance master Tiesto follows up his #2 hit "Red Lights" with the song at #49, "Wasted", featuring vocals from Matthew Koma. His new album, A Town Called Paradise, comes out on Tuesday (June 16)...

The last entry on the club chart at #50 is Swedish singer John Martin, who's sung on many of the Swedish House Mafia's hits like "Don't You Worry Child", with his first solo hit "Anywhere For You".

Meanwhile, on the radio-monitored Dance Airplay/Mixshow chart, Calvin Harris spends a fifth week on top with "Summer"...

Entering at #22 is house music duo Duck Sauce with "NRG", which samples the obscure Melissa Manchester track "Energy" from 1985. The pair took their former #1 club hit "Barbra Streisand" to #20 on the radio list...

The other debut at #25 is British singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran with his Pharrell-produced "Sing"...

Well, that does it for today's new song sweeps...I'll be back tomorrow with the first half of this week's "album sweep", along with another song of the day....Cheers!
