Rock Sweep: June 14, 2014...


Round two of today's "chart sweeps" is up with the latest songs to reach rock radio on the charts of Billboard magazine.

On their main Rock Airplay chart, The Black Keys reign for a fourth week with "Fever"...

The top entry on this chart at #38 is British singer Sam Smith with his amazing "Stay With Me", which is already in the top-3 on the Triple-A chart...

Newcomers Starset debut at #40 with "My Demons"...


Linkin Park is back at #47 with "Until It's Gone", the second single from their upcoming The Hunting Party album....


New York indie-pop duo MS MR pop into the "big" rock chart at #49 with "Think Of You"....


...and now onwards to the rock radio format charts...

On the Mainstream Rock radio panel,  Pop Evil stays on top for a second week with "Torn To Pieces"...

The sole debut here at #34 is "Smooth Sailing" by Queens Of The Stone Age. It's the third to make the top-40 on this chart from their Like Clockwork album...


Meanwhile, on the Alternative/Modern Rock chart, "Fever" is at #1 for a fourth week, while the aforementioned Linkin Park single is the top debut at #35...

The other entry at #39 is modern rock heroes 30 Seconds to Mars with "Do Or Die", the third single from their latest Love Lust Faith and Dreams album. The first, "Up In The Air", went up to #3...


Lastly, on the Triple A (adult album alternative, or "hipster rock") format, the Black Keys are on top for an eighth week...

British indie-pop band Elbow enter at #28 with "New York Morning", my "Rock Pick of the Week"...


Lana Del Rey also arrives at #29 with "West Coast"...
