Songoftheday 10/14/13 - You never hear about it it's not the thing you talk over with friends, you never see it coming until it begins...

Sammy Hagar - "Two Sides Of Love"
from the album VOA (1984)
Billboard Hot 100 peak: #38 (three weeks)
Weeks in the Top-40: 3

Today's Song of the Day is by red-clothed rocker Sammy Hagar, who scored his first top-40 hit in 1983 with "Your Love Is Driving Me Crazy" in 1983. The following year, he released his seventh solo album VOA (for "Voice Of America"). The first single from the set, "The Two Sides Of Love", echoed the vibe of his previous hit, with a rocking backtrack over a "love" track. It was written by Hagar and produced by Ted Templeman, Van Halen's go-to producer...

"Two Sides Of Love" became Sammy's second top-40 pop hit in August of 1984, while also reaching #27 on the rock radio format chart.

Up tomorrow: "Painted" heavy metal band isn't having any more of it.
