Songoftheday 1/26/13 - She's so young at heart she likes the pleasure of his company, she cuts the inside groove with her silver spoon...

Loverboy - "Hot Girls In Love"
from the album Keep It Up (1983)
Billboard Hot 100 peak: #11 (one week)
Weeks in the Top-40: 11

Today's Song of the Day is by the Canadian leather-clad rock group Loverboy, who scored two top-40 hits in 1982 with the power-ballad "When It's Over" and the workingman's Friday anthem "Working For The Weekend". The following year, they released their third album, Keep It Up, and to roll it out they released the lead-off track "Hot Girls In Love", written by their guitarist Paul Dean with producer Bruce Fairbairn, as the first single...

The song became their biggest hit up to that time, just missing the pop Top-10, while reaching #2 on the US rock radio chart and #9 in their home country.
