Today's Song of the Day is by Canadian rock singer/songwriter Bryan Adams, who scored his first big American hit in the spring of 1983 with "Straight From The Heart". He followed that ballad with the sing-along rock of "Cuts Like A Knife", the title track from his third album written by Adams and his longtime collaborator Jim Vallance...

The single reached the top-20 on the pop chart, and was even bigger than "Straight..." on rock radio, peaking at #6. It also make the top-20 in his home country, and was a minor hit in Australia.
