"Murder On The Dancefloor" was a club and radio hit for British singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor. Appearing on her debut album Read My Lips, the song was written by Sophie with Gregg Alexander of the New Radicals, who co-produced the track with Matt Rowe. On Billboard magazine's Dance Club Play chart, the single peaked at #26 in 2002. It also climbed to #2 on the official British Singles Chart.
