Songoftheday 7/5/21 - Since you left me my life ain't been the same, I'm useless without your love I'm calling crying out your name...

"Wherever You Go" - Voices Of Theory
from the album Voices Of Theory (1998)
Billboard Hot 100 peak: #36 (one week)
Weeks in the Top-40: 3

Today's song of the day comes from the Latin soul vocal group Voices Of Theory, who landed a top ten pop hit with their second single release "Say It" in the summer of 1998. The third release from their debut (and only) album would be another ballad, "Wherever You Go". Written by Boyz II Men's Michael McCrary along with Durrell Bottoms and Nicole Harris, the song definitely has a Boyz II Men vibe, as the quintet sing typical boy-band "I'm so lost without you" lyrics and the young girls crave...

"Whereever You Go" became Voices Of Theory's second and final top ten pop hit in November of 1998. The song also climbed to #22 on Billboard magazine's R&B chart. It would be the last time the group would have any chart hits, and they gracefully faded from the public.
