"Shake Your Groove Thing" was a big club and radio hit for the duo Peaches & Herb. Appearing on their album 2 Hot, the song was written by Dino Fekaris and producer Freddie Perren. On Billboard magazine's National Disco Action Top-40 chart, the single spent four weeks at #2 in 1978, while climbing to #5 on the pop Hot 100.
