"Deputy Of Love" was a huge club hit for native New Yorker Don Armando and his 2nd Ave Rhumba Band. Appearing on their sole album Don Armando's 2nd Ave Rhumba Band, the song was written by Ron Rogers and produced by August Darnell from Dr. Buzzards Original Savannah Band, which Armando was a part of . Fonda Rae sang on the track. On Billboard magazine's Disco Top 100 chart, the single spent two weeks at #1 in 1979.
