"You Should Be Dancing" was the biggest club hit from the "kings of disco", the Bee Gees. First appearing on their album Children Of The World before being included in the soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever, the single, charting on its own, spent seven weeks at #1 on Billboard magazine's Disco/Dance Tracks chart in 1976. The song also topped the American pop Hot 100 for a week, and climbed to #4 as their first to reach the magazine's R&B chart.
