While the disco classic "Love Is In The Air" from Australian singer John Paul Young was having success internationally, another version of the song from Canadian artist Martin Stevens was released to capitalize on the local market, which granted special privileges and increased airplay from homegrown acts. His version never made the disco charts in America, but it managed to climb to #19 on the official Canadian singles chart in 1978, and appeared on his self-titled debut album.
