"On Broadway" was a track from jazz-soul artist George Benson's live album Weekend In L.A. that was released as a single in 1978. The song, originally a sweet doo-wop number from the Drifters, was transformed into a ten-minute jam by Benson and his band in concert.  It went to #7 on the American pop chart, and #2 on Billboard magazine's R&B genre chart, but never made the Disco/Dance tracks chart, even though it got substantial play in nightclubs nationwide...
