twostepcub's music chart for February 1, 2013...
Hey gang, the end of the work week is here, and it's time for my top-100 tunes for the week. This time out Bruno Mars spends a fourth week on top, while siblings the Band Perry (pictured above) move right under the top-10. Former big hits by Alex Clare, Dave Aude, and Matchbox Twenty drop off my chart, while tracks by Spandau Ballet, Kerli, and Imagine Dragons make the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red). Who is running this shitshow, anyway?

There are seven new songs (highlighted in blue) and one re-entry on my list, and here they are, along with a little about the artist after the break...
The top entry at #69 is by Russian-born DJ Anton Zaslavski, who now calls Germany his home and records under the moniker of Zedd, with his second dance hit "Clarity". The first, "Spectrum", made my top-100 of the year last year, and since then he's also co-written and produced the latest Justin Bieber song, "Beauty And A Beat"..
Arriving at #83 is the Pet Shop Boys with their latest, "Leaving" the second single after "Winning" to make my list from their latest (and awesome) album Elysium...
Husband and wife duo Thompson Square twostep in at #93 with the first track from their upcoming sophomore album, "If I Didn't Have You".
Indie-folk outfit Family Of The Year are now based in L.A., but their members hail from all over like Florida and Wales. They score their first hit with "Hero" at #96..
New Jersey's own Bon Jovi come in at #98 with their first single to make my chart since 2010's "What Have You Got", "Because We Can". Which Billboard magazine apparently doesn't consider a "rock" song. From Bon Jovi. Yeah. Ugh.
Slipknot side-project Stone Sour debut at #99 with their latest, "Absolute Zero". They were also last on here in 2010 with "Say You'll Haunt Me".
The last new song at #100 is by Scottish DJ/producer Calvin Harris with British rapper Tinie Tempah on "Drinking From The Bottle", the sixth single from his latest (and recommended) album 18 Months to make my chart.
The one re-entry, British DJ Fresh and Sian Evans' "Louder" at #97, is notable in that is was on my list way back in the summer of 2011, when it was a #1 single in the UK. It's finally crossed over to American shores...
That's it for tonight...I'll be back tomorrow with another Song of the Day, Candletime, and my five-part "chart sweeps" of the latest songs making their way on to the Billboard singles charts. Have a great night!
