Country Sweep: February 23, 2013...
Hey gang, I'm up to part four of this week's "chart sweeps" of the newest songs making it on to the weekly music charts in Billboard magazine, and this time out it's the latest on country radio...
On the Hot Country Airplay chart, The Band Perry reach the #1 spot for their third time with "Better Dig Two"...
The top debut of the week is from the biggest country album in the country, Tim McGraw's Two Lanes Of Freedom, as his duet with Taylor Swift, "Highway Don't Care", drives in at #43. He's topped the chart an amazing 23 times...

Newcomer Greg Bates follows up his top-5 single "Did It For The Girl" with his new one, "Fill In The Blank", at #56...
Gary Allan's recent #1 hit "Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain)" is still in the top-5, as his next single "Pieces" arrives at #59. There's no video up for it yet, and the fan-made ones are all muted (record company, either put one out yourself or leave the others alone! You're not helping your promotion!)
The final entry at #60 is another example of a folk-rock hit making its way on to country radio, like Mumford & Sons' "I Will Wait" did several weeks back (it's at #46 now). Now top-10 pop hit "Ho Hey" by the Lumineers debuts, but of course Billboard will keep it from the main country chart, since they have no clue how to deal with this situation. Lord.
That's it for the country side of things...I'll close things out later on with the newest dance jams in the clubs and on the radio. Twang on!
